life. The forty years he spent with the Edwall/Reardanschool district as a school bus mechanic, driver and trainer, were full of love and caring. Fellow Gents member Rick Sawyer is a master wood carver and made
a beautifully detailed scale model of a school bus from hard maple wood. Rick presented the bus to Clayton
on August 31. Rick used a light yellow/orange stain on the wood’s smooth surface so that the maple’s grain
can be readily seen. The bus features a full complement of wooden seats, tires, mirrors and other tiny
details that took many hours and wood carving skills to replicate. Gents members may now appreciate why
Clayton chose yellow for his beautifully restored 1967Ford Ranchero. And no…., it’s NOT an El Camino!
